Frequently Asked Questions

Semi-Permanent Cosmetic Tattoo

What is microblading/feathering?

Microblading is a manual method of cosmetic tattooing that ensures flawless and realistic looking eyebrows. This treatment involves drawing each individual hair stroke onto the client’s eyebrows until the desired fullness, shape and depth of colour is achieved. Every stroke is thoughtful and intentional in sculpting customised eyebrows synonymous with clients desired style.

Sparse or uneven eyebrows are transformed to become defined and symmetrical, with individual strokes that mimic the natural hair. The superior result is instant and long-lasting. The initial appointment is typically followed by a touch up 6-12 weeks after initial treatment to ensure lasting results. After touch up, results can last up to 1+ years or more.

Every client is unique, and so too are their eyebrows and results.

What is Ombrè Brows?

Ombré Brows (also known as Powder Brows/Shaded Brows) is a semi-permanent make-up procedure, where through the manual process of inserting pigment into the top layers of skin.

The procedure is a 2 step process (initial insertion of pigment & touch-up 6-8 weeks later)

We create the desired fullness and design of the eyebrows . This technique differs from Microblading in that we create a misty, powder-filled brow resembling the look of makeup application or a fresh eyebrow tint. They are semi-permanent, in that most fade over time if no additional procedure is performed.

Ombré Brow can last for 1-3 years. Clients that choose a soft look, light colour shade or did not follow the aftercare instructions may require more touch up appointments. Factors that will cause your semi-permanent brow tattoo to fade faster:

  • Tanning bed/sun exposure
  • Exfoliating
  • Oily skin
  • Medical conditions

We suggest a yearly "Colour Boost" to maintain your treatment.

Does cosmetic tattoo stop your natural hair growth?

One of the top myths being circulated about cosmetic tattoo is that it impacts natural hair growth—it doesn’t. When done correctly, eyebrow tattoo shouldn’t have any effect on your natural hair growth. However, it can sometimes stimulate hair growth—which for most is a win-win.
